It is finished

So... The family had just finished a rigorous task of tearing down a junky old fence and erecting a nice new cinder block wall in place of the fence. The picture is the finished product and we are quite proud and impressed with the outcome. This is the first and might be the last block wall we will attempt to build. Thanks to all who gave us physical and emotional support in this task.

Memoral Day In Wyoming

For those of you who don't know, this family since Todd has lived in Utah has attend a annual Seilaff Family Reunion in Rawlins, Baggs, and Savory Wyoming. This is where Todd's Mother grew up and where our family plots are located. Todd's Grandma Helen Barnheisel (Seilaff) was one of 16 children. so the descendants get together every year and create havoc on the these small towns. Savory, where the Frontier plots are in a cemetery located on the eastern hillside of town in a memorial service then the company adjourns to the old school house that has been turned into the Carbon County history museum for a potluck BBQ lunch. Savory is the smallest town we visit with only a population of 39.
The rest of the time on Sunday was spent at Robby Seilaff's acreage due to our cousin Pat driving over and unearthing a buried mount of concrete and damaged the driveline, gas tank and muffler. we waited at Robby's until the tow truck came from Rawlins (75 miles away) to pick up the rental Car Pat was driving and then back to the hotel.
it's always a story when the family comes together. this one just was really expensive. Sorry Pat.

Sterling Singers at the Mormon Tabernacle

Well well, the time has come again that Keri's group the Sterling Singers have another wonderful Concert. This time it was in the famous Mormon Tabernacle. They were amazing!!! They also performed with some other groups, however, the other group were dwarfed by the sized and intensity of the Sterling Singers. Keri's Parents Bill and Janette Howarth attended along with Todd's mom Sharon and a good friend of the Aylesworth's Stan Hawks. The day was wonderful and it ended with a meal at the Red Iguana Hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant. it was great fun.

We got a big blizzard on thanks giving weekend. up to 18 inches at our house. Keri was really eager to run the snow Blower, she had never used one before so she got on my case to tune it up so she could use it. I'm glad she did. there was soooo much snow. by the way this is the color we painted our house.

This was the Sterling Singers concert that I attended. Keri sang in all of the numbers and Braden was with the Kids parts of the Choir singing "Way in a manger" It was a wonderful night of festive Songs and spirit. If you can't see Keri, she's in the very top left... even further than the camera could reach. Thank the lord for music. The spirit it brings touches all who can hear. it doesn't matter what kind of day you might be having. music can either tear you down or bring you up to the stars.

After coming home from Thanksgiving in Brigham City with Part of the Howarth Clan, our kitty Keini (keen-eye) wouldn't leave Todd's side. He slept between Todd's legs all night and finally we caught him on film. he is sooo cute and sooo an Aylesworth in personality and temper.

So what is this? Look what Braden got for his Birthday... A Drum set!!! he always wanted to play Todd's drum set so we got him his own to learn on and eventually become more famous than Lars Ulrich, Neal Peart or John Bonham.
